In regards to Door Operators; we aren't out to make anyone insecure about their choice in which operator to use or which not to use. We represent the industry by being associated with all the major suppliers. It is a matter of choice as to what the customer wants and what we feel with suit your needs economically and customized to your specific situation.
We don't want to sell you a door bigger than you need and we don't want to sell you a 3/4 HP operator if your situation requires a1/4HP or 1/2 HP motor to lift the door. But we want to provide you with the best product based on your needs to make sure the Door & Operator is adequate for your particular situation. An error on either situation will decrease the life of a door or an operating system.
So we have provided a link to the Liftmaster/Chamberlain website. We use the Contractor Series of operators because of their durability to withstand any situation. They are designed to last a long time and they have provided us with the best possible features within our projects (Residential or Commercial).

COMMON PROBLEMS THAT OCCUR If you try to open your garage door with the operator and the door will not lift. The most common problems could be the spring(s) are broken and needs to be replaced. Most Technicians will replace a single spring at the customers request; however it is much safer and less expensive in the long run to replace both springs versus a single spring. If one breaks today...you might run into the same problem tomorrow.
The second most common problem is the sprocket inside of your operator. When you push the button on the remote and hear the operator but the door is not lifting; this is probably a sprocket that's stripped and needs a new replacement kit. We advise our prospective customers not to try and lift a door by any means. Make sure and call your local Overhead Door Company for assistance.
There are several reasons why doors will not operate correctly from time to time. Based on our experience we find the above problems more common than severe problems that may occur as well.
When we replace anything on your Garage Door System or Liftmaster Operator; we inspect the entire system to make sure there are no present problems that may need to be taken care of while we are there. We also provide a yearly Maintenance Program for your Residential/Commercial Garage Door System(s).
